Car Storage Advice

If you are storing your car or motorcycle, whether it be a classic or modern model I have used STA-BIL Storage. Fuel can (apparently) degrade in as little as 30 days so if you are storing your pride and joy for a month or longer many people would strongly recommend using a fuel stabilizer such as Storage.  There must be many similar products out there and I only ever used STA-BIL so this is not a recommendation based on a trial of several.

STA-BIL Storage says it eliminates the need to drain fuel from your tank before storage. It supposedly keeps fuel fresh for up to 24 months and prevents gum, varnish and corrosion from forming. It also prolongs the life of an engine by removing water from petrol tanks, and cleans carburettors and fuel injectors.

On the other hand, if you use your car regularly and pretty much daily they recommend using STA-BIL 360 Protection as it guards against ethanol damage and maintains performance.
