Badger McPhee...

Here are some pictures of Badger, the first of him wondering if the camera is worth considering as food or is a plaything. The second  showing him back in his loose box (deep litter system gives him extra height!). He's was a 31 or 32 year old gelding (in 2020) still with a mischievous streak. He belonged to a colleague of mine, who comes from the Isle of Sheppey in Kent, UK (That's the island off the north coast of the Thames estuary). Badger had his field there for a long time but later moved to a better field in Kent. There he stayed until his arthritis got so bad that he was put down by his caring owner in late 2021.

Is that camera thing worth eating?

Phew, that's over then...

Here's a view of Badger looking out of the other side of his loose box. If you look carefully you may see the precautions that had to be taken to prevent him eating the roses.

Well now, when are they going to let me eat these roses?

And now one of a young Badger probably taken in the early nineties. Pretending not to be visible but still being nosey even at that age....

If I don't look she can't see me...

Want to see my horse, Domino?
